Landon weighed in at an even 20 pounds today even after zeroing out the scale to account for his environmentally friendly diapers. For reference, here he is at 19 pounds, 18 pounds, 17 pounds, 16 pounds, 15 pounds and 14 pounds. Landon has been enjoying a couple of new things this week: feeding his mommy (only fair to return the favor) and pushing his walker, or any other large moveable object he can get his hands on, around the house from a crawling position. Climbing
Landon has graduated from simple crawling to a new hobby: climbing. He climbs the stairs. He climbs onto tables. He’ll even climb into the dishwasher if we let him.
Self Feeding
Landon has recently learned to place food into his mouth himself. Here are some examples from today and yesterday. He loves eating “crunchies” but we normally don’t give him any until he finishes his dinner.
Teeth on Top
Landon’s top teeth are starting to come in, as you can see in the photo above. He’s getting four new ones all at once. More photos can be found in the October photo album.
19 Pounds
Landon weighed in at 19 pounds today. For reference, here he is at 18 pounds, 17 pounds, 16 pounds, 15 pounds and 14 pounds. He’s starting to eat more of what we eat so we can all have family dinners together at the same time. Just one more pound until he’s ready for a new, larger, front-facing car seat. He’s getting pretty big for the one he’s in now, which is supposed to last until 22 pounds. Click the photo below to see a larger version.
18 Pounds
Landon weighed in at 18 pounds today. For reference, here he is at 17 pounds, 16 pounds, 15 pounds and 14 pounds. He’s been eating very well lately. He used to eat half a jar of baby food plus some cereal for dinner and this past week he’s been easily finishing two full jars plus cereal. Click the photo above to see a larger version.
First Day Crawling
Landon learned to crawl today. The clip above shows his first couple of tries but within just a few minutes after these were taken he became a pro, crawling all over the place. I guess it’s time to get serious about baby-proofing the house.
New Trick: From Laying to Sitting
Landon has been making great strides in his mobility lately, letting us know that we need to hurry up and baby-proof the house. He can now go from laying down to a sitting position all by himself and also enjoys rocking back and forth on his hands and knees. Crawling can’t be too far away. Oh, and he can also stand up by himself while holding onto something as of this week.
