Landon didn’t discover drawers until this week. Perhaps we were lucky that our drawers don’t have visible knobs on the outside and that bought us a little extra time. Anyway, he figured it out this weekend and now he is constantly in our drawers and cabinets. We will be finding a way to lock them down ASAP.

This movie doesn’t actually show Landon’s first step, but it is the first one we’ve captured on film. He’s been taking a step or two at a time the past few days. Thanks to Tanner for the shoes Landon is wearing in this movie.
Landon has been practicing standing on his own more and more lately. Here is some video shot this morning of Landon standing, cruising, and playing. Background music is “All the Small Things” by Blink-182.
Landon weighed in at an even 20 pounds today even after zeroing out the scale to account for his environmentally friendly diapers. For reference, here he is at 19 pounds, 18 pounds, 17 pounds, 16 pounds, 15 pounds and 14 pounds. Landon has been enjoying a couple of new things this week: feeding his mommy (only fair to return the favor) and pushing his walker, or any other large moveable object he can get his hands on, around the house from a crawling position. Landon has graduated from simple crawling to a new hobby: climbing. He climbs the stairs. He climbs onto tables. He’ll even climb into the dishwasher if we let him.
There was a party at Landon’s day care to celebrate Halloween yesterday. Lots and lots of photos from the event can be seen in the October photo album.

Until today, MSU hadn’t beaten U of M in 7 years. MSU hadn’t beaten U of M in Ann Arbor since 1990… until today. In Landon’s lifetime MSU is now 1 – 0 against U of M and we see lots more wins coming in the future. This is a good day to be a Spartan and Landon is enjoying every minute of it.
