Landon weighed in at 16 pounds today. For reference, here is is at 15 pounds and 14 pounds. Eating more solid foods seems to be helping Landon grow.

First Food
Landon had his first food other than breast milk this evening. Rice cereal. He seemed to enjoy it. You can witness the first 50 seconds or so of this messy experience above.
15 Pounds
Landon weighed in at 15 pounds today. We did zero out the diaper first so that’s 15 pounds of pure Landon. Click here to compare to his photo at 14 pounds.

Landon’s First Bath
Since Landon’s umbilical cord finally fell off, we were able to give him his first bath to bring in the new year this morning. He didn’t love it, but all things considered he tolerated his first bath pretty well.
Dangerous Diapers
Today during a routine diaper changing, Landon demonstrated his ability to turn his number 2 into a projectile weapon which splattered all the way onto his mother’s shirt. He followed up by letting loose with some number 1 before the new diaper went on. Landon’s mother, who has changed many diapers in her day, said “I’ve never seen number 2 come out with such velocity.”
Landon was born today
Landon was born on December 14, 2007 at 3:16am. He weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.
We’re very to happy to have him here, although I still haven’t slept since he was born so I don’t know what I am doing writing in this blog.
