Landon is 9 months old today (8 months gestational age). He’s experiencing new “firsts” nearly every day it seems. Today we gave him whole chunks of organic banana for the first time. This week at day care Landon’s teacher told us he got in his first “fight,” pushing another little boy down in retaliation after being pushed first. Are we bad parents if the thought of 9 month olds fighting makes us laugh? Another recent first is that Landon can now pull himself up to a standing position and play standing up for long periods of time. We made the movie above this morning showing Landon standing and playing with his musical table, one of his favorite toys at the moment.

Landon and his cousin Kingston finally got to spend some time together this weekend and had lots of fun. Here are a couple of movies we captured.

Landon has enjoyed his walker for a while now. In the past he could mainly just scoot forward, but these days he can back up, turn around, and navigate himself to wherever he wants to go. Here is a movie of Landon walking over to his daddy.
 

Solid foods Landon has eaten, in the order he has eaten them: Rice cereal, bananas, carrots, and peas. Here is a movie of Landon’s first time trying peas on June 25, 2008.

Landon tends to be talkative in the morning. Here is a short video of him waking up today and saying “good morning.” He also enjoys tummy time these days. As you see here, if Landon is awake, and you lay him on his back, he’ll normally quickly flip over onto his stomach.

Landon has been enjoying his walker as a place to hang out for a while now, but more recently he’s discovered the art of actually walking in it. Here is a short movie of Landon scooting forward in his walker.
